CAPT receives authorization by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to accept international flight training students

Palm Coast, FL — April 30, 2007

The CAPT (Commercial Airline Pilot Training) Program announced today that it is now able to accept international students and can issue M-1 visas for that flight training. The CAPT Program (CAPT, LLC) has in the past provided airline specific training for the US domestic market alone. Today, CAPT is pleased to announce that it can provide the same quality of flight training to international students.

“The international airline market continues to grow, and so does the demand world-wide for well-trained pilots,” said Patrick Murphy, Executive Director of CAPT, LLC. “The CAPT Program has a history dating back to 2003 of providing training specifically for students heading directly to the right seat at an airline. CAPT now looks forward to utilizing that expertise to benefit both domestic and international flight students.”

Murphy, who just returned from spending 18 months in mainland China managing the training of future airline cadets there, says “CAPT is uniquely qualified to train students from Asia and Europe for a career in the airlines. We have a well developed curriculum, superior equipment and flight instructors, and excellent weather.”

CAPT, a division of Flight Training Services International, offers a full-immersion, one-year program that trains individuals with no flight experience to the highest standards of the commercial airline industry. It uses the latest technologies to deliver airline-specific training, including in-flight video cameras, self-reflecting journaling, line operations safety audits, and a curriculum built on a foundation of crew concepts and crew resource management. Simulation is used extensively in the curriculum and includes Avionics Systems Trainers, Advanced Aviation Training Devices, and Level 6 Flight Training Devices.

The CAPT program conducts flight training at the Flagler County Airport in Palm Coast Florida, 25 miles north of Daytona Beach. Training is conducted in brand-new Cirrus SR20 and Piper PA44 Seminole Aircraft. Both aircraft utilize full-glass panel cockpit displays similar to those found in commercial aviation. CAPT has 30 Cirrus and 12 Piper aircraft either on site or scheduled for near-term delivery.
