The CAPT facility is located at Flagler County Airport (KXFL) in the city of Palm Coast, and is conveniently situated between Daytona Beach (25 miles south of the facility), St. Augustine (35 miles north), Jacksonville (60 miles north) and Orlando (90 miles southwest).
With more than 300 days of flyable weather, the location is ideal for CAPT's immersion-level flight training while avoiding the highly congested Class C airspace of Daytona Beach.
Primary flight training is conducted at KXFL and the jet transition phase takes place at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Advanced Simulation Flight Center, which houses CAPT's full-flight simulator.
