The use of state-of-the-art technology has always been an integral part of flight training at CAPT. Modern, multi-media classrooms give CAPT students a comfortable environment to take full advantage of ground school training; our Advanced Simulation Training Lab allows students to develop expertise in glass cockpit and communications procedures; and CAPT's briefing rooms are equipped with digital video players, which, combined with in-flight videotaping, give precise feedback of student performance after training flights.
By taking advantage of the latest technology and training approaches, CAPT has elevated flight training to a level that exceeds all expectations.
Academic excellence is combined with advanced airline-specific training at CAPT. CAPT pilots are trained to work together as a crew using standardized airline call-outs and check-list philosophy. Each training flight is videotaped from either a flight deck camera or tail camera, allowing pilots to self-critique, crew-critique, and critique their instructors. Emphasis is placed on flight control skill proficiency and the human factors behind decision-making and conflict resolution.
