The CAPT Flight School Curriculum
One of the cornerstones of the CAPT Program is a rigorous, but
practical, suite of academic courses that go well beyond traditional
flight training topics.
- More than 600 hours of classroom training
- Comprehensive ground-school labs that take students beyond the
FAA written
- Guided computer based training using the latest technology
- Average score among CAPT cadets on FAA knowledge exams is 96%
with better than 99% first-try pass rate. (Aviation industry averages
are 86.3% and 94.8%, respectively.)
- The Advisory Standards Committee, that includes flying captains
from major airlines, provides insight and guidance to keep the
program abreast of industry trends.
